Yes, Dawn has certainly gotten (very) cold-blooded. Yes, it's a real possibility that Rupert wants to do the same thing with him that Dawn did (I like to keep the ambiguity alive). And yes, this is the same 'verse with Beth Daniels in it, and their, ahem, encounter in Divine Interventions is only the first of the ones that Dawn is remembering here; I was thinking as I wrote it where Beth might have gotten off to, 'though I don't have any authoritative answers.
