I think you raise a good point here. OTW's definition of "fandom" and "fanworks" is unclear, and at this point, I think, much narrower than they're letting on. It's very fic- and LJ-centric, when there are apparently a great number of other sorts of transformative works outside that milieu that aren't being included.

I bet the board would want to include communities they haven't thought of if it were brought to their attention. And if they didn't, we'd at least get more fun on metafandom. XD
