I know there are a lot of dead women in SPN and a lot of dead black men. I think somebody needs to do a body count though (unless someone has and I missed it when I was buried in my RPG), because there are also an awful lot of dead white guys and it is horror.

I was pretty pissed off that Henriksen died, but I'm not completely convinced that the body count is the issue some people think it is, especially after the discussion (http://marishna.livejournal.com/425140.html) in marishna's journal where I found out that often they don't know which characters are going to be CoC when they're writing the scripts because they don't specify what race they want to be cast in that role. I am much more bothered by their refusal to cast any recurring female characters who are not "hot". But that's something the CW is forcing on Kripke.

Honestly, of the shows I watch SPN is probably the one I find least offensive in that way. There is a huge amount of racist bullshit on Heroes and while House is not generally bad, when it is bad that way it is SO BAD.
