There is merit in your analysis about the suatts of educational system in India. While the govt has legislated right to free and compulsory education for disadvantaged , it does not have the political will to implement it in all seriousness. Because it is more interested in privatisation of education from primary school level So, it does not allot increased funds for education. The fact that it has budgetary allotment of just 3% for billion plus population, I find the legislaion of free and compulsory education a farce. Since in tamilnadu cinema play such a dominant role in collective psyche, the actions of such actors are given more coverage in the media. Even if these actors use education to promote their career, it can't be faulted. Afterall a few hundreds of students are benefited from such constructive. The problem with revolutionary groups is that they ignore the role of constructive work in mobilising people. Hence they are dismissed as disgruntled lot, who do not have any constructive programme for immediate goals, eventhough the criticism against privatisation of education is quite valid-sundaram
