Of all the Scoobies, Giles says "God" the most in scenes involving Willow.

God, I love the Buffy Dialogue Database.

I don't really read W/T fanfic (I tend to go for the pairings that were not fully developed on the show, and I think W/T had the best relationship on either show, so I don't generally feel the need to change things) so I don't know why that stuck in my head, but I must have selective memory, because I can still hear Willow saying "Oh my goddess" frequently (in my head, at least, if not in the data base). Weird, huh?

I guess everyone has their own pet fanfic peeve. (Mine happens to be "childe" *shudders* Joss used the term sire, but never, ever used childe and when I see the term in fanfics, it makes me cringe.)

I don't read W/T much either (a fact I realized when I looked at my profile, saw it under favorite ships, and went, "Huh?"--when I made the list I must have been responding to canon more than I do now that it is closed). Reading fanfiction can warp one's memory, which everyone knows can be highly flawed under even the best of conditions--at least, that's true of my memory.

I can't think of my fanfic peeves off the top of my head, but I know I have them. "Childe" I personally tend to find neutral, like Chalmers, but that may be because I haven't seen it many places outside of Buffyverse fanfiction, and to me it feels the most canonical of the proposed terms for "one-who-has been-sired." (Did Anne Rice use it? I can't even remember. I know the usual etymology is to claim it entered Buffyverse fandom through Vampire: The Masquerade, whatever that is--an RPG, I think.)
