That Letter Thing

Dear LJ,

When one is browsing through someone else's journal, and hits the "Next Entry" button, and the next entry is one that one isn't supposed to see, instead of telling one that and sending one into wild paranoia and wondering why the journal owner hates one and is filtering one out, why not just send one to the next entry one is allowed to see?

Yours in La Mancha,
Episkopos Rev. Alixtii O'Krul V, TRL
Church of St. Jesu the Heretic, Discordian

Dear flist,

I've been spamming a lot lately, haven't I? Oh well, look on the bright side: you can expect fic tomorrow. (M/m, even!)

Hail Eris,

haha, do people do that? Wow.

tell you that you can't read an entry.

No, LJ itself tells me I can't read the entry. Which is the most stupid design I've ever seen.

Ohhh, sorry. I read your entry quickly.

Wow, that is a bad design. And its a little scary that people can be aware of what I've cut them out of.

I often make private entries myself, so I often figure if I'm locked out of an entry from a mutually friended person that that's the reason. I just find the design a bit annoying 'cause it means I have to backpage and switch to dayview to continue moving forward.

The rational half of my brain assumes that's what happening, too. But if nothing else, yes, it's inconvenient. It really doesn't make any sense.
