Now that I see Lorraine's done Firefly, my mind's off in that direction. How about Zoe, then?

Zoe's not an easy character for me to identify with; I get the feeling she processes the world in a way which is more or less foreign to me, which discourages me from writing her or 'shipping her. . .

1/2. Kaylee/River and Simon/River; I can't decide which is favorite and which is runner-up
3. Mal/River, Dawn/River
4. Book/River, Saffron/River, Lilah/River, Joss/River, River/wisdomeagle (which is kind of a joke between Ari and me, but whose basis in reality is that I have sorta written the pairing twice), River/pretty much anybody
5. Jayne/River - Jayne's another character who is foreign to me and the two of them together doesn't make much sense to me.

I have to admit that Jayne/River doesn't make much sense to me, either. I know it's a popular ship, but I just don't see it myself. In fact, I think it's the very last combination of the Firefly cast I'd ever consider.
