1. Anybody who wants me to write--during winter break--a DVD commentary for one of my fics can request it here.

2. Anybody who wants to write a DVD commentary for one of my fics can tell me here and I'll give them permission.

3. I dn't usually rec stories, because I basically just read my flist and don't want my lj to devolve into a list of what karabair and wisdomeagle posted that day. But here's a short gem I found off the beaten path: Imaginative Improvisation by alwaysjbj. Cordelia and Angela arguing over chess and Dracula. Perfectly captures the feel of early AtS.

Don't be shy if we don't know each other that well. I can look in your LJ and find plentiful reasons for adoration. I am good at saying nice things about people. I am NOT a h8er, whatever you might have heard from certain people (people whom I love b/c they may be h0res but they are my h0res).

I think that's lovely, I stand behind all of it except for the bit about the h0res.

5. I want to do the "10 things you can assume about me" meme but so far I only have nine.

1. I'm a student.

4. I'm monofannish (mostly).
5. I'm a science fiction / genre fan.
6. I read/write femslash. het, grön, and gen, but mostly gen.
7. I am a philosopher and a theorist.
8. I am a Discordian.
9. I am a liberal Christian.

This sort of defeats the purpose, but anybody know something else about me they think I should add? Once I come up with 10 I'll write the little paragraphs to go with each.

6. School of Lost Souls is finally finished and posted. That fic just took me over and wouldn't let me free, even before I got the assignment (I was pretty certain which assignment I would get just from who had requested what). It's Fred/River, set a couple years before Firefly began.

You're the first journal I began to read that I hadn't followed from FF.net, because the stories I was reading in the su_herald were of such a high quality and I didn't want to miss anything.

You're still an amazing fic writer, and brilliant besides. I love the way your mind works, and it always makes me happy to read your posts, except when they are sad posts, in which case the universe is out of alignment.

What I love about you is your sheer narrative range. It seems sometimes that there isn't a pairing in the fandom that you haven't done and done well. I don't know how many times I clicked on the most random recs to only go "Of course! Doyle wrote it."

You never limit yourself, and I respect that.

You're an amazing fic writing (when you are actually, you know, writing fic). Call me selfish, but that's the first thing that jumps to mind--it's all about entertaining me. On top of that, I'm eternally grateful to you for providing my bridge onto LJ. I lived off your flist for months before I figured out how to get an LJ of my own.

Nowadays, I still enjoy your sense of humor and appreciate the different perspective you bring than most of my flist. And I really appreciate the fic when you write it.
