Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Saturday I punched [livejournal.com profile] spuffyduds in the arm (-10 points). In May I gave [livejournal.com profile] tinpanalley a kidney (1000 points). In November I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). In October I signed my organ donor card (28 points). In August I bought porn for [livejournal.com profile] iharthdarth (-10 points).

Overall, I've been nice (1009 points). For Christmas I deserve a shiny red ball!

Sincerely,
alixtii

Ask any of the following women 1-5 questions, and she'll answer them for you:

Dawn Summers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Amy Madison, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Eve, Angel
Drusilla, Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer
River Tam, Firefly
Valentine Wiggin, Ender's Game
Kitty Pryde, Astonishing X-Men
Kara Zor-El, Supergirl
Lapus Lazuli and Lorelai Lee Long, Time Enough for Love
Naomi Wildman, Star Trek: Voyager
Cindy Mackenzie, Veronica Mars

. . .

Give me the summary (maximum one sentence; semicolons are allowed) to a story I have not written (whether because somebody else wrote it or because nobody did), and I will give you the title, the first line, and the closing line I would have given it had I written it.

At least I don't think you've written this one...

Veronica Mars and Dawn Summers go road-tripping, and find more adventure than they expected.

Mars in Alignment

Being a relatively observant young woman, Veronica Mars had noticed that on the rare occasion that Dawn Summers was not actively looking for trouble, trouble could be reliably assumed to nonetheless be looking for Dawn Summers.

[. . .]

Dawn endeavored and failed (unsurprisingly, given the absurdity of her predicament) to keep her expression solemn as she said, "Not bad for a newbie, Mars--now could you. . . ?"

Questions for River:
1. What's the meanest thing you've ever done to Simon?
2. After the BDM--do you want to see your parents again?
3. If The Academy had been what it purported to be, what would you have studied?
4. What's your favorite work of surviving Earth-that-Was art?

1. I remember being mean: average, human, predictable, susceptible to sin. Understandable. Whispering falsehoods to girls Simon liked. Now, no longer average, there is no more mean, no malice, but the girl hurts him nonetheless, and that is the cruelest thing of all.

2. Parents live on in their children: I see them when they are not here. They did not see me when I was there.

3. If. My heart dances on an if, through books, through laws of men and science, through galaxies and quarks. So many dances silenced by an if. They cry out, demanding to be named River, but that name is denied to them. The name weeps.

4. For the eyes, Ophelia with the flowers. For the ears, A Little Princess on a brother's voice. For the heart--

*kiss*

Kara works a mission with Oracle and her friends; it does not end well.

[This is a story which will be written! One day, and probably not with this frame.]

Parental Guidance

"She's just a girl," Dinah reminded her, as if Barbara could possibly have forgotten.

[. . .]

Kara looked from the Barbara to Dinah and back again. "So . . . who's going to be the one to tell Kal?"

Nice! Yeah, the set-up's a bit obvious, but fun. There's a lot of great teen characters in in general in the DCU at the moment as well (I particularly like Blue Beetle these days), so lots of ways this could go.

OW! Quit it!

The summary thing sounds fun. Try this one :

Charles Gunn of Wolfram & Hart against Matt Murdock of Murdock and Nelson in a legal face-off to the finish.

Although I was so tempted with this one:

Special Agent Jack Malone has two problems: a missing suspect, and the most annoying English librarian in the world.

*googles*

Oh. I guess that is in one of my fandoms, after all. Sort of. In Ultimate, at least. Still no clue who Jack Malone is, though.

Time of Trial

"So, wait. Who's more evil--their guy or our guy?"

[. . .]

Gunn dropped the memorandum into the inbox on Harmony's desk and walked away, softly humming "By the Mystic Regulation."
