So, Veronica will graduate high school at the end of this season.

The Neptune High Class of '06 will scatter. We already know one student is going to Stanford; Jackie's already left for Paris.

Now I knew all this already, but I was caught up in the illusion. I was worried about what would happen to Wallace, to Veronica.

It just occurred to me--what about my viewing experience? Once of things I loved about VMars was the continuity, how students we saw once kept coming back. But past graduation--will we find out what happens to Mac? To Cassidy? To Lizzy and Grace Manning? To Madison Sinclair, the girl everyone loves to hate? To the younger Sinclair daughter whose name escapes me at the moment? Et cetera ad infinidum ad nauseum?

I mean, we'll have vacations and all, but it just won't be the same. And without the rich anc complicated interactions between the cast, it just won't be the same show. I mean, there'll always be fanfic, but still. . . .

All this is assuming that there is a third season at all, of course.

Is it bad that I'm more broken up about Veronica Mars graduating and leaving her school than I am about My own graduation. I'll miss Colgate, sure.

But not like I'll miss Mac/Cassidy. That was special.

*is sad*

A friend got married a few years ago, not long after he had graduated from college, and since he was working for the university, his wedding ceremony was held at a campus church and the reception was held at the student union. And, because I emailed him and said "I'm coming" instead of sending back the RSVP included in the invitation, I sat at the "girlfriends and wives of the groomsmen" table. And it seemed that everyone attending the wedding, except for the groom, who was from St. Louis, and me, was from a certain high school in Indianapolis' northern suburbs. And at my table, the gossip was on like it was senior skip day.

My point? That even if people go to different schools, they can still stay pretty tightly knit. So who knows.

Oh, certainly. And I'd be interested in seeing "The Adventures of Mac and Beaver's Long-Distance Relationship Conduct Mainly Through AOL Instant Messenger." I'm just not sure how good TV it'd make.

I'm crossing my fingers and in general not worrying about it.

They might do a Buffy. They handled that quite well.Or even: Gilmore girls.

Yet Buffy's supporting cast was miniscule compared to VMars. There was Amy, Harmony, and Jonathon, but that was about it.
