I really don't pretend to understand the idea of an unwritten constitution; it just makes my head boggle. After all, even with all my rights, the limitations on the government, and the various checks and balances written down, it's still hard as hell to agree on what they are and enforce them. To not even have it all gathered in one place seems like a hermeneutic headache.
