This story takes place in Cleveland during the summer immediately following "Chosen," after the destruction of Sunnydale, presumably in the 19 days between "Chosen" and "Just Rewards" (although making that timeline work out isn't easy). It isn't an AU--everything fits into canon perfectly fine--but I have written other stories set in the same universe, including one where Faith and Dawn have sex during late season 7 (which also fits into canon perfectly fine). The idea is that reading more than one of these stories enriches the others, while none of that knowledge is necessary to read any given fic.
