It feels weird not having Divine Interventions to post every other day. I look at [livejournal.com profile] su_herald and my name's not there and I just feel so empty. So I'm writing this post to spam your flists and to feel like I've justified my existence. Is it wrong that LJ suddenly feels more real to me than the daily monotony of my schoolwork?

I'm going to spend the entire weekend fighting the urge to just read the new issue of Slayage instead of working on my pre-thesis. On the other hand, I'll be going home this weekend, and seeing my girlfriend (yay!), so maybe Slayage won't be that big a temptation. And maybe I should just read it all now before it's the deadline and I'm reading it when I really should be writing the pre-thesis.

In this exchange in the comments of a recent post, I realized a pattern to some of my fandom (character) loves that I want to share with the world:

Drusilla and Anne Catherick: The Women in White: Insanity in a British accent

Yes, I really love female characters who happen to be insane and speaking in (faux, in each case) (lower class? I know Anne's dialect is class-specific, but I'm not sure about Drusilla's) British accents. Its undoubtedly true, looking at those two characters above, but even I can't imagine why. Well, yes I can! I mean, Drusilla! Anne Catherick! Those voices. *loves*
