Beta Request

I've been wildly searching through my notebooks for the scene I totally remembered writing in which Mindee Cuckoo plants a compulsion to make to love to waterfowl in homophobic/anti-mutant assailants' minds after they call her by various offensive ephithets (and try to beat up her and her friends, which is a really stupid move in so many ways because, really, they're the frelling X-Men, bitch). (Which means, I suppose, that I'm going have to warn for implied off-screen noncon bestiality. That'll kill my comment count.) I was beginning to worry I had dreamed up the scene rather than actually written it.

It is found, and is one of the last scenes which need to be transcribed. Which means I'm going to renew my request for a beta.

You don't even need to be familiar with the characters, because really, we get three different character concepts for Kitty in as many movies and despite searching through X3 screencaps of the scene Mindee and her sisters are supposed to be in, I still can't even find her.

But I'd really like another set of eyes on this. I'm not above begging.

'm off to work right now, but home in about 10 hours. beta mostly in lotrips, [well, write mostly in lotrips too] but have professional experience proofing/editing as well.

otoh by the time i get home one of your regular readers will have responded and have done it for you- but if not, i'm game.

yes. got it. gave it one pass after work the other day, been out of the house pretty much since. one more tonight, recheck tomorrow, and send it back to you. sorry it takes so long, but i like to be thorough and understand the writer's intent before i start just making comments and stuff. that ok?

i like it so far, you've got me interested in the characters and what happens to them.

It's not for a 'thon, so take as long as you need (my thoughts about it are complicated and I'm thrilled that you're taking your time); I'm just glad it got to you. I should have sent a "sent" comment immediately after sending it so it didn't seem like a passive agressive measure to rush you, but unfortunately it slipped my mind.
