I've decided I'm going to stop actively avoiding spoilers for Serenity. My reasoning is thus: I'm going to be at school when the movie comes out, and it's in a town with one movie theatre which will in no way carry the movie. I will have no means of transportation to any other theatre. If I keep on avoiding spoilers until the movie comes out on DVD, I will miss all the interesting reviews, meta, and wank--not to mention having to avoid any fics which contain spoilers. This strikes me as an unreasonable restriction to place upon myself.
Also, and relatively unrelated, my brother is inordinately fond of the music behind the BtVS episode "The Pack" and wants it announced to the world.
ETA: It goes without saying that any spoilers I pick up will be safely nestled under clearly marked lj-cuts if I were ever to decide to discuss them. I'd rather be surprised, too; I just don't think that's a realistic possibility. But I won't steal that possibility from someone else.
ETA 2: My parents just got me a car for a graduation present! (Which is weird because I don't finish my degree until January and I don't graduate until May because I'm taking classes in the spring so I can be a double major and do a Honors thesis and be Phi Beta Kappa and all other cool stuff.) So I'll be able to drive to see Serenity! Also, there's a chance the local movie theatre might show it after all.
