Apparently, Terry Pratchett once wrote a fanfic (or at least imagined himself as having written it) "setting Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice in Middle Earth; the rest of the kids loved it, because a class of thirteen-year-old boys with volcanic acne and groingal longings is not best placed to appreciate Miss Austen's fine prose. It was a really good hit when the orcs attacked the rectory. . . ."[*]

I've added three tags: 1. lotr, which I think is fairly self-explanatory (assuming everyone is familiar with the acronym, but they should be); only the one entry as of yet, but it seemed like it deserved a tag nonetheless. 2-3. summer glau makes me go guh and tina majorino is teh awesome. These seemed necessary as these subjects get brought up in contexts which are not otherwise fannish, i.e. I am fangirling the actresses rather than the characters. They required a little more backtagging, but not too much (as my interest in both women is relatively recent).
