WriterCon: I Haz Arrived
Jul. 30th, 2009 01:15 pmGreetings from Minneapolis! My plane got into town about 8:00 local time, and I've been roaming up and down Nicollet Mall, which is all decked out and farmer market-y, ever since I got off the LRT. I've just checked into the hotel room (it was ready early), and I'm not sure what to do next.
Although the halls are empty, the sounds of fangirls squeeing can be easily heard through the walls, and the fact that my laptop is detecting various wireless devices named after fannish BSOs indicates that I'm safe in fen territory.
I'm not sure what to do next; Elizabeth's plane is scheduled to touch down in less than an hour, I believe, and I have all the keys, so I can't go too far. I'm seriously considering a nap; after all, I did have to get up at 4am this morning in order to catch my flight. And I need to be in New Sweden at 4pm for Volunteer Orientation.
But really--I made it to
writercon! I can't really convince myself it's true; it all seems more like a dream than anything else.
