I question how much canon-weight T:SCC will lend to T3, though. Not that it should in any way impinge on your fic, just that it might not get teased out in canon.
And what the hell was going on with John and former!step-dad? (What was his name?) That whole "don't come closer, please don't touch me" bit was like watching two people who used to be in an abusive relationship meet up after a couple of years. I was seriously suspecting that Johnny had been the victim of sex abuse.
I'm still a bit conflicted about the show itself. Yeah, it's got the same tone as T2, but it doesn't quite have the savagery or desolation that made T1 great. And I'm still just annoyed whenever I see a cat or dog "smelling the evil" on a Terminator unit/android/etc. The Terminators aren't inherently evil, and they don't have the biological signatures that identify them to animals! Gah!
