The fiction shelves are too obvious, too uneven. The Qs and QAs too blaring with all those "learn SQL in five minutes" on yellow spines. The reference shelves are just right. And indeed, not in the children's section. Never there.
Though maybe Thing One and Thing Two might not have disapproved.
