Complete and utter word. Henriksen and Sarge both died post-climax. Unlike with Gordon (and Jake, whom I wished they'd kept as the Decent Guy Way In Over His Head until the end), there was no real storytelling reason for their deaths. Sarge's final role could have been filled by any odd hitchhiker, and given the HUGE potential Henriksen's character had, it would have made more sense for him to have left the building before Lilith arrive. Tweak the ending slightly to have Henriksen be the one to tell Dean & Sam to turn on the news. End with him asking how he could go about getting tattoos like the ones Dean & Sam have. Have them go their separate ways. Easy as pie.
