Joss should never have created two Firefly characters whose first names portmanteau into the last name of a beloved (sort of) Buffyverse minor character. It's hellishly confusing.

Just saying.

Okay, maybe I'm the only one who is confused. But I am confused, often very much so. Which is problematic, because River/Jayne is actually a ship I like quite a bit, and a relatively popular one at that.
