alixtiiOkay, I'm really all out of "meme" puns. Any suggestions?
First, because I fail at being a noncomformist: my Johari window. Anyone else who's done one of these leave the link below and I'll get to it.
Now, the twenty-five questions meme. . . .
1. My ex was ... non-existent.
2. Maybe I should ... work on my thesis.
3. I love ... using elipses correctly, with spaces between the periods. And always only three, except when it ends the sentence and there are four. Also, my girlfriend, my family, my books (not necessarily in that order).
4. I don't understand ... why people can't use quotes for episodes and italics for books/movies. It's not a difficult convention, people, and it eliminates the need for stupid abbreviations like StP and StM.
5. I lost my... It would be quicker to list the things which couldn't finish this sentence.
6. People would say that I'm ... incredibly interested in the use of the subjunctive (conditional?) in this question. People would say? Why don't they? Has no one asked them? Is their input not valued? (People would say that if they were psychic and overheard me thinking about this question. And now that I've written about it perhaps people will say it.)
7. Love is ... the holistic appreciation of another human (i.e. intelligent, self-aware, not necessarily homo sapiens) self. I've been using that conceptual analysis (I don't believe in definitions!) for about five years now.
8. Somewhere, someone is ... writing Hamlet on a typewriter. No, wait, that's monkeys.
9. I will always ... be changing. Until one day, that "I" is no longer continuous with what it used to be.
10. Forever is ... a temporal infinity? diamonds? I have no idea where this one is going.
11. I never want to ... Hey, when did this turn into a metaphysics exam? Always, forever, never . . . next you'll be asking me whether I'm an eternalist or a sempiternalist.
12. I think the current President... of the United States has delusions of godhood (or at least prophethood) and is a danger to freedom, liberty, and the entire concept of checks and balances.
13. When I wake up in the morning ... I usually have to go the bathroom.
14. Life is full of ... everything. Il n'y a pas de hors-texte, n'est-ce pas?
15. My past is incredibly ... over. I try not to think about it except to learn from it--and if there is anything we learn from the past, it is that we don't learn from the past. Remembering good memories is okay too.
16. I get annoyed when ... things don't come easy to me.
17. Parties are for... people who get invited to parties. Or else people who don't feel bad showing up not invited. In any case, not me.
18. I wish ... "Do you know what you wish? Are you certain what you wish is what you want? if you know what you want, then make a wish. Ask the tree, and you shall have your wish."
19. My dog is ... lazy, just like I like him. I was scared of dogs once.
20. My cats ... are the cutest things ever. Also, they are huge and antisocial. I miss them.
21. Kisses are the worst when ... Wait, there are bad kisses?
22. Tomorrow I'm going to ... go to class, like every Monday. (Tomorrow is monday, right?)
23. I really want ... to be a professor.
24. I have low tolerance for people who ... don't know the basic facts about their world or their disciplines.
25. If I had a million dollars ... I'd be less worried about graduate school.

more than is really healthy, although MLA was the default in my elementary school so I assume that others across the country learned the same convention?
