Why isn't moralising good literature, you mean? Well, no one wants to be preached at, do they?
In the end, I guess, if it makes you uncomfortable, don't write it. I don't really think there's any solution beyond that. Me, I don't feel any sense of responsibility for the reader's interpretation.
