OK, first off, I showed seekingxanadu the header for this and he said, "Up your alley? That sounds like a story about Cyclops and Wesley wrestling because they disagree about King Lear." And really, pretty damn close. . .
Seriously, I adore this fic. I can't remember if you and I have discussed this before but I love that Spike, who couldn't write a verse to save his life when he was sane, comes up with gorgeous pentameters as a madman ("The spark, the spark, the thing that makes us fit"). And Lilah's "closets are traditionally for homosexuals," and "madness in great ones" and the explanation for the origin of the cage and -- just, you know, day-um. Great job, thanks!
