The following lyrics were not guessed:

Beata Maria, you know I am a righteous man.
-- "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Of my virtue I am justly proud.
Beata Maria, you know I'm so much purer than
The common, vulgar, weak, licentious crowd.
Then tell me, Maria, why I see her dancing there;
Why her smoldering eyes still scorch my soul.

When I was just a lad, looking for my true vocation. . . .
-- "Professional Pirate" from Muppet Treasure Island.

My father said, "Now son, this choice deserves deliberation:
Though you could be a doctor or perhaps a financier,
My boy, why not consider a more challenging career?"

I started on a journey just about a year ago.
-- "The Tomorrow Song" performed by the Muppets.

To a little town called Morrow in the state of Ohio.
I've never been much of a traveller and I really didn't know
That Morrow was the hardest place I'd ever try to go.
So I went down to the station for my ticket and applied
For tips regarding Morrow, not expecting to be guyed.

If you could see inside my heart then you would understand.
-- "I'd Die For You" by Bon Jovi.

I'd never mean to hurt you, baby;
I'm not that kind of man.
I might not say I'm sorry;
Yeah, I might talk tough sometimes
And I might forget the little things
Or keep you hanging on the line.

Rot, rot, rot, rot, it's a plot, plot, plot, plot.
-- "The Wickersham Brothers" from Horton Hears a Who.

We're the Wickersham Brothers;
We're on to your plot,
Pretending you're talking to Whos who are not.
It's a deep-dyed evil phonetical plot,
Pretending you're talking to Whos who are not.

Dude, do you even know who Cable is?

I kind of love that you took that icon just because it says "incest".

Hee!

He is the son of Maddy Prior and also from the future. And I didn't just take the icon because it says "incest." I mean, I've written X-Men fic.

Oh, I didn't mean that in a bad way. I just didn't realize you were that into the comics. Jean/Cable is. . .obscure. As in, "I invented it in my mind."

Oh, I didn't take it in a bad way--I was pretending to be mock-offended, because of course it is mostly about the incest. My knowledge of comicsverse comes from your LJ, [livejournal.com profile] buffyannotater, Wikipedia, memories of the cartoon and other non-comicsverse media which incoporate comicsverse canon in varying degrees (even as they do things like make Wolverine Australian), and of course the first two trades of Astonishing. But I'm good at the fannish osmosis game, and a good chunk of my flist is currently being fannish about X-Men.

Yeah, you missed this post, and this post, and this one, then. How many songs could you have named from the original list?
