But now they are the only ones left: he, she, and Harmony, the only ones who didn't let themselves be destroyed in a massive (if, in the end, meaningless) battle between good and evil.

Eve never cared about good or evil; no, she put her faith in love, trusting it to find a way, and when it failed, when Lorne put a bullet through the heart of the man for whom she had given up her immortality and all hope of a future, it broke her just as much as it broke Lorne.

Eve had put her faith in love, and lost. And now, once it is all over, as Lorne pours another customer a drink in a gin joint a third of the way around the world from Los Angeles and tries not to think of good or evil but of whiskey and tequila, Lorne loves her for it.
