River initiated it, of course. Kaylee hadn't even noticed River was the room, and it was all she could to keep from choking on River's tongue. Still, it went on for quite some time, because when a super killing machine is pressing you rather aggressively against a bulkhead there isn't all that much you can do about it.
Kaylee puts it out of her mind as River's craziness, or at least tries to. She lasts three days before she goes looking for their second kiss.
