I'm five pages through a seven-page paper on a footnote in Julia Kristeva's Revolution in Poetic Language (I picked the topic).

All discourse can do is differentiate, by means of a “bastard reasoning,” the receptacle from the motility, which, by contrast, is not being posited as being “a certain something” [“une telle”].

Sadly, I haven't read the whole thing (and needn't have for the purposes of the paper I'm writing, which isn't really about Kristeva at all on a different level). But I want to so badly now, after re-reading the portion I'm using for my paper. (OTOH, I'm afraid it'll contain every thought I've ever had and I'll be left with nothing to say.) When I checked the library of my institution of higher learning, all of the circulatable copies (and they had multiple) were checked out.
