Spiderman <3s Mary-Jane

I've finished the Spiderman <3s Mary-Jane hardcover (yesterday afternoon) and I can only say, OMG, so awesome, so very awesome, so exactly what I wanted. Dates! Drama! Friendship! Homecoming! Basckstabbing teenagers! Sappy sentimental denouements! High school!

Now we just need a) for it to incorporate Ultimate canon so that Kitty can show up, and b) for there to be an X-Men version that's all about people falling in love at Xavier's. Really, this sort of stuff is really why I prefer New X-Men even to Astonishing, but even New can become very caught up in, you know, plot (and by plot I mean "plot other than that of a romantic comedy"). And I enjoy plot, I enjoy science fiction and fantasy and social commentary, but sometimes I just want to read about young love.

Just so, so awesome.
