Mini = 8 pages?

Apparently my muse doesn't understand what the affix "mini" in femslash_minis means. I've already hit 2700 words and am maybe 2/3 done.

I was supposed to work on my thesis today. I guess that's not going to happen.

I'm not going to bed until its finished so that I'll have time to work on the thesis tomorrow.

The requirements for the fic immediately thinking, "Ooh! I can do a really simple hurt/comfort with this." Except that apperently I can do the hurt unless I spend eight pages setting up the hurt, and now I don't feel like spending anything more than a paragraph on the comfort. (How about a sentence? "And then they had great sex. The end.")

OTOH, I do mention Madelyn again in this fic.

I don't know if my muse'll appreciate being tickled under her chin or not, but I appreciate you distracting her while I ran off and had dinner. :-p

Considering how the story I wrote that weekend was ultimately the one I chose for "Best of 2005," I have to say that yeah, it was probably worth it.

(And besides, I got an A- on my pre-thesis.)

I do to, but it is only a certain sort of fic with which one can pull that off. The Box of Yfrak, which ends in "And then they had an orgy" is that sort of fic; Facing the Shadows really isn't.

I finally decided on "And Kennedy smiled, and let unconsciousness take her as she lay in her lover's arms" which has sort of the same type of idea, communicated less crack!tastically.

However, I'm just waiting for the fic to come along with which I can use "And then they had great sex. The end."
