The OTP is dead? Long live the OTP?

John/Savannah has eaten my brain. As recently as a couple of weeks ago I was talking about how SCC was the only fandom I really had an OTP in, in that I was particularly invested in just that pairing and didn't like to think of the two characters apart (as opposed to using "OTP" in the looser sense of a ship I like. Some Thing to Watch Over Me, my John/Cameron/Riley fic, was totally my way of dealing with the fact of someone getting in between my OTP.

And now I find myself jettisoning John/Cameron for the sheer awesomeness which is John/Savannah (and John/Savannah/Allison). It's not really surprising why it appeals to me: obviously there's the disenfranchised-girl-pwning-the-universe kink, and it even holds some of that faux 'cestiness I love so much in John/Cameron.
