*facepalm*

A character named "Mary Margaret" mysteriously morphed into "Mary Magdalene" about halfway through The Adventure of the Stolen Heart. It's fixed now, but yeah, there's a Freudian typo if there ever was one.

Hee! But does Mary Margaret know how to love him? Does she know why he moves her? (Yes, I've been listening to JC: Superstar. Possiby the medication is having an effect?)

I wrote a fic awhile ago where an OC named Rowan inexpicably became "Raven" for two chapters before returning to Rowan. The mind works in mysterious ways.

My family loves Jesus Christ Superstar. We watch the movie every Good Friday--it's the most spiritual day of the year in my secular household. (Christmas and Easter are about gifts and candy. Good Friday is about rock music. Which, for my family, counts as a religious experience.)

Of course, I did sorta pick the name "Mary Margaret" because it made me think of "Mary Magdalene," but I didn't realize that it made me think of it quite so badly. She does try and seduce Simon Tam, though, so whether she knows how to love him (especially when she's actively trying to steal him away from Kaylee for a one-night-stand) is actually a relevant question. I'm still not sure what her motivation is, other than acting as an obstacle in order to prove how much Simon loves Kaylee.

I adore your family! I thought I was the only one that considered Jesus Christ Superstar or Godspell Easter-ish and Dogma as appropriate Christmas viewing!

Ooooh! she tries to seduce Simon Peter Tam! Has she had so many men before, in very many ways that he's just one more?

Did she meet him "On September twelfth right here in front of the Waverly, but unfortunately lost his address"? Okay, I'm officially a musical theater geek!

A couple days after this last comment, my father confided that his "favorite Christmas carol" (his words) was The Kinks' "Father Christmas (Give Us Your Money)."

Mary Magdalen Margaret's motivation in seducing Simon is up to debate, but I'd be able to believe she's had plenty of men before, even despite her relative youth (at least compared to Patience!).

She doesn't always rush in like that, twenty seconds after saying hello, telling strangers she's too good to miss. It seems crazy but you must believe there's nothing calculated, nothing planned. Please forgive her if she seems naive; she would never want to force Simon's hand, but please understand, she'd be good for him.

He was minding his own business like he oughta, wasn't meaning any harm to anyone. He was talking to this certain farmer's daughter--then he was looking in the muzzle of a gun! It's a scandal. It's an outrage. Just a wink and a kiss and he's through.
