alixtiiI did it! I came up with another meme pun! Now I just need one for next time, and the time after that...

Am almost finished the Ender's Game fic I owe for the Apocalyptothon. Val and Petra don't seem to want to have sex, although I had to practically restrain Peter to keep him from jumping his sister. Would desperately love a beta.
Courtesy ofpenknife, who gakked it from neotama: The Regender. It swaps the genders of all the characters in any fic (or any website at all, for that matter). Not all that effective on my fic, as it tends to get confused with names that are also words like Dawn and Faith, and turns Darla, Dawn, and Drusilla all into Davids (creating the potential for much confusion) but is much fun nonetheless. Also it underscored for me how important role reversal and other types of gender subversion are in Buffy in general and my fic in particular: with the genders swap, much of my fic felt flatter, less original, less exciting.

Episkopos Reverend Alixtii O'Krul V, TRL
How did you choose it?
It is my Discordian Holy Name. I picked it because it one takes the form of a name and defies expectations of what a name should be. And double -ii at the end of words is fun. The "TRL" stands for "Three Random Letters."
What fandoms do you write for?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Robert Heinlein's World-as-Myth, Veronica Myth, RPF, and coming soon, Ender's Game. At FF.net you'll find Star Trek and XMM fic too.
What fics are you currently working on?
I have a lot of projects planned, but only a small handful I am currently working on.
"Not With a Bang But a Whimper": Buffy/Darla AU.
"Surrender": Spike, Faith AU.
To Live in Hearts: The long plotty fic in which I reveal the source of Madelyn's powers and set up Faith/Kennedy and Dawn/Giles in the Watcher!verse.
"Richard the Third, Act Two, Scene Three, Line Sixteen": Ender's Game fic I hope to post very soon, mentioned above.
Untitled Narnia RPF/BtVS crossover.

Either Voyager or Buffy depending on how you look at it.
What is your deepest darkest fic-writing secret?
I don't get the question. Fic-writing by its nature is a social activity. If I had a secret, though, I'm not sure I'd announce it to the world because a meme told me to.
Do you have any quirks/habits in your writing?
There are a few themes I reuse. I need to get a couple new themes.
Do you have any fanfiction pet peeves?
Yes.

If you could get someone to write a fic for you right now, who would it be?

An exciting day from the very first moment! Although waking up to a long instrumental piece can't help but make me think of the Overture to "Once More With Feeling."
Falling in love: "The Hornburg" by Howard Shore, from Lord of the Rings
Suitably wistful, I suppose.
Fight scene: "The Marvelous Madame Mim" from The Sword and the Stone
Well, I suppose we know who the villain is, heh?
Breaking up: "End Title" to Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Well, I guess sometimes being single could be seen as a mission of exploration....

They believe in dreams and all they mean, / Including Heaven's generosity.
And of course there's the everpresent fear of hell, and breakdowns in communication as soon as the relationship starts: "Tommy, can you hear me?"
Secret love: "We Need a Little Christmas" from A Muppet Family Christmas
I'm not sure what the continuation of the Christmas=Love conceit signifies. Nor what this song signifies in this context at all.
Life's okay: "Little Saint Nick" by John Denver and the Muppets
I do have music other than Christmas and muppet music, I swear!
Mental breakdown: "Finale" to Fiddler on the Roof
Yeah.
Driving: "Who's Been Painting My Roses Red?" from Alice in Wonderland
I don't have a clue.
Flashback: "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee" from Grease
That's a flashback, all right.
Partying: "I Like Life" from Scrooge
Works for me.

Cementing my conviction that the pseudorandom function on the media player is more pseudo than it is random.
