I have to be in to my summer job by 7am, and I'd like to take a walk in the morning before I leave for exercise, so I'm trying to train myself to wake up at 5am, and that requires going to bed earlier than I usually would.
If it had been during the school year, it wouldn't have been a problem. Then I'd have felt perfectly fine staying up until 1am to finish the fic, and I probably would have checked my flist afterward. (Although then my usual time getting to bed during the school year was right after 11pm.)
