Apparently Krysten's the second female lead in a new movie. The female lead is Isla Fisher (who?!); the male lead is Hugh Dancy (again, who?!).* Members of the cast I actually recognize include Joan Cusack, John Goodman, Lynn Redgrave, and John Lithgow.

As much as I love Krysten, I think I'll wait for this one to go to video.

As for the other item in my voicepost, I've been listening to the LibriVox version of New Chronicles of Rebecca on my mp3 player, after having listened to Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm a couple of months ago (that being my first introduction to the book, spoken or written).

*This is me being too lazy to look up the unicode for an interrobang.

Isla Fisher and Hugh Dancy are both known but not super-famous in Britain, Dancy for period drama stuff and Fisher for being on Home and Away (Australian soap beloved of British students) and being married to Sacha Baron Cohen, the comedian who does Borat and Ali G.

Thanks! I could see their previous roles on IMDb, but the greater sociocultural context was sort of missing. I always assumed not knowing who the leads were said more about me (or the movie as a whole) than the two of them, just like the fact I know who Krysten is (magazine cover notwithstanding) says more about me than it does her (beyond maybe "was on VMars," at least), though.

I am able to recognize the characters in your icon, however, and love. My brother's watched episodes while he was home on winter break.
